Our ‘Shining Stars’ at Eden Park scoop Community Award
2016 - September, Latest news
We are thrilled to announce that colleagues at Eden Park, Corby successfully beat off the competition to win one of the two awards they were shortlisted for at this years Shining Stars Awards, aimed at giving back to those who have given to others. The awards are run by Macy’s Memory, a Corby based charity who invite anyone to nominate someone from their community who they think is a shining star.
The team were named “Business or Organisation with Star Quality” following an anonymous nomination.
Zoe Hall, Project Manager, said: "It really was an honour and such a surprise to receive the nominations, let alone win one! The team and I are thrilled with the result!"
Eden Park opened in 2005 in response to the high teenage pregnancy rate in the local area by providing homes and support for parents and parents-to-be, aged 16-24, including single mums, single dads and families. To date the project has helped over 200 families to go on and sustain tenancies within the local area.
Corby has such a great community spirit. The fact the nominations came from the community, we assume from one of our clients, means so much to us. We really are making a difference and it is real testament to the team’s hard work that we are recognised as being such a key part of that community.Zoe Hall (Project Manager)
The awards were held on Saturday 10 September, at the Masonic Hall, Corby. For more information about Macy’s Memory or the Shining Star Awards visit their website or Social Media links:
